Below are some tips on searching the list of tenders on on the Local Tenders page.
- Enter a keyword related to your industry e.g. 'build', 'engineer'
- Enter part of an agency name or location such as 'Tweed', 'Clarence', 'Transport', 'Parks'.
- Don't get too specific to ensure you increase the chances of seeing relevant tenders - e.g. use 'construct' instead of 'construction'
- Entering both a keyword and selecting a category/status will reduce the number of results : For example:
- Tenders with keyword 'bridge',
- categorised as 'Construction' and
- are 'OPEN'
will return less results than - Tenders with the keyword 'bridge'.
- Clicking "Clear Filters" will return all current tenders in the feed.
-
Why are some tenders not categorised?
The tenders feed is made up of information drawn from several different tender portals. The consistency of this information is varied, so while some tender portals categorise the tenders, others do not provide a category.
When refining your search by Category, you are getting all the tenders that have been allocated a category in the source tender portal. It is a good idea to use the keyword search function to check for tenders mentioning a keyword relevant to your business e.g. 'build', 'construct', 'environment'.
