How do people live in Northern Rivers?
On average in the Northern Rivers, around 77% of private dwellings are separate houses. This drops dramatically to 14% of occupied private dwellings being townhouses, semi-detached, row or terrace house. Flat/Apartments/Units account for 7% of private housing.
In terms of ownership, the following breakdown shows that 41% of residents own their residence outright and 29% of residents own with a mortgage. 26% of housing arrangements come under a rental agreement.
